After sketching a bit with Vera [on Artgrounds.com's Sketcher], I did a little feline anatomy practise. The pg. 85 and the name refer to the book I referenced from ''The Ultimate Encyclopedia of Cats: Cat Breeds and Cat Care" by Alan Edwards. The image was an American Shorthair kitten which I modified some anatomy to draw the Norwegian Forest Cat.
As for Xenia, she is an animagus that exists in an ongoing roleplay with a friend of mine [zx-lorenz on deviantART]. It's sorta a reference of sorts for her :3
Xenia's 'purr'sonality [shush, I like puns]:
She is very fun-loving and curious [yes, that's very catlike :3]. She enjoys mischief to the nth degree, and seems to have a knack for getting into trouble [though she also has a knack for getting out of it]. She is also known for being a bit clueless at times [heck, she's a blonde] - but not nearly to the same extent as Roxy... who is in her own world 90+ percent of the time. Xenia is very caring for her friends [Fye, Eric, Roxy, Cyrus, Kerre, Hideki and yes even Silvius] and her son [Lazarus].
Xenia is a Norwegian Forest Cat, and is a golden tabby colour. Her eyes are a very very distinct bright aqua [the very same colour they are when she's human]. It's probably her 'unique characteristic or marking' for wizards to distinguish her from other ordinary kitties.

I LOVE the fluffy-but-not-overly-fluffy cats SO MUCH. all that orange and cream, and such lovely markings too!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
